New features Functions description User task programming support Compared to Windows, user tasks in EtherCAT provide a faster and more stable process and I/O control within the EtherCAT control cycle. New home mode 3: Homing in by detecting hardware stopper and EZ. When running the homing process, if the axes fail to connect to both the EL limit sensor and the ORG sensor, the axes will be unable to move to the home position normally. The new Home Mode 3 only detects the EL stopper and EZ signal. As a result, the home position will be fixed at a specific EZ position. Ring counter support A Ring Counter (also known as a modulo counter) is used in semiconductor machinery with a circular encoder. The new function enables Point-to-Point (PTP) movement to occur automatically along the shortest path. Multi-language support Simplified Chinese support added to MCP2.
