Environmental Responsibility Policy

ADLINK implemented a Green Product Policy in May 2004, to align the purchasing and use of green products meeting requirements from international environment protection statutes. Environmental Responsibility is a top priority for the management at ADLINK. Measures have been taken to ensure that our products have little impact on the environment. In addition to planning a leadless process, the affect on the environment of components and raw materials will also be reduced.

ADLINK is very active in implementing this policy, and is working hard to encourage suppliers to support these changes. Only components and raw materials that meet Environmental Responsibility principles will be purchased to ensure that the parts we use will not contain environmentally hazardous substances. The Green Product concept has been built into our new product development system to ensure protection of the environment and continued business success.

EU RoHS Declaration of Conformity

This declaration has been issued under the sole responsibility of the manufacturer.
The object of the declaration is in conformity with the relevant Union harmonization legislation, EN 50581.

The EU Directive 2011/65/EU & 2015/863/EU, which refers to “Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment” or “RoHS”.

This restricts the use of the following ten hazardous substances with all latest exemptions in Annex III and Annex IV in the manufactures of various types of the electrical and electronic devices (http://ec.europa.eu/environment/waste/rohs_eee/legis_en.htm).

We hereby certify that any substances used in homogeneous materials, parts, semi-finished products, manufacturing process, and products meet the regulatory compliance of RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU & 2015/863/EU) with all latest exemptions in Annex III and Annex IV.

Besides, our lead-free production line and process, including solder paste, solder bar and process control parameters, has been developed and standardized in our manufacturing system.

China RoHS2 Declaration of Conformity

This declaration has been issued under the sole responsibility of the manufacturer. The object of the declaration is to confirm compliance with hazardous substance restriction limits in electrical and electronic products (EEPs) for China RoHS2.

The China Green Product (CGP) logo shows the compliance of China RoHS2.

Under China RoHS2, the restricted substances are:

cadmium and its compounds;
mercury and its compounds;
lead and its compounds;
hexavalent chromium and its compounds;
polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs); and
polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs).

They are the same as those restricted under the EU's 2003 RoHS Directive (see above). The China RoHS2 restrictions apply to ADLINK system-level products—either Monitors or Computers under Compliance Management Catalog—shipping into China or manufactured in ADLINK’s facilities in China. After entering into law on 2019/11/01, this compliance information (self-declaration and supporting documents) of ADLINK system-level products will be accordingly uploaded to a China online platform (http://111.204.176.162/back/sdoc.jsp#) within 30 days after products entering into China market.

For China RoHS1 compliance, both the appropriate Environmental Friendly Use Period (EFUP) logo and the China RoHS marking table are shown in each user manual of ADLINK standard products.

Management Flow

The management flow of ADLINK's Green Policy begins during the development stage of a product. Only parts and raw materials that comply with EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) & both the latest Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) and latest list of restrictions of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of EU REACH, will be sourced. Our engineers specifically design products using only qualified components. Green products do not contain environmentally hazardous elements and can easily be recycled.

Conflict Free Minerals Policy

ADLINK TECHNOLOGY INC. will not knowingly procure material supplies and components that contain minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or an adjoining country.

We urge our suppliers to support this policy in their own procurement guidelines and provide us with accurate country of origin information.

ADLINK shall:

Comply fully with requests from EICC-GeSI.
Conduct a reasonable country of origin inquiry to clarify the origins of the Gold, Tantalum, Tungsten and Tin used in our products.
Establish reasonable objectives and targets with a goal of ascertaining and minimizing ADLINK's risk. With a goal of continuous improvement for our Conflict Free Minerals Program, develop a means to measure objectives and targets. ADLINK will also review, revise and report these measures, and overall program updates, on an annual basis.
Empower all employees, suppliers, vendors and contractors to take ownership in complying with the Conflict Free Minerals Policy and to escalate risks in the supply chain to management's attention.
Effectively communicate with both ADLINK`s distributors and makers regarding this Conflict Free Minerals Policy and our Conflict Free Minerals Program.
Require suppliers to be informed about the public, free CFS information.
Ensure all suppliers associated with covered products are included in the Reasonable Country of Origin Inquiry (RCOI).
Conduct risk assessment identified any risks related to any other area covered by the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, Annex II Model Policy, and implement strategies for risk mitigation.

EU REACH Declaration

Products which are manufactured by ADLINK Technology, Inc. are in compliance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).

ADLINK Technology, Inc.`s products do not contain either the latest Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) as defined in Article 59(10) and included in Annex XIV or latest list of restrictions, adopted in the framework of REACH and the previous legislation Directive 76/769/EEC, in the Annex XVII of REACH.
